About The Olive Shoot Institute

Cindy at The Olive Shoot Institute started her shop to share the products that she loves using with her own family. The shop has different soap nut products including traditional soap nuts and just about every soap, shampoo and cleaning product that can be made from them! Cindy also handmakes these sweet dolls called Guinea Pig Girls. She has lots of varieties and each one is unique. You can also have her make a doll that you create!

I've recently switched my laundry routine to traditional soap nuts and LOVE them. When I got the chance to review a soap nut concentrate, I jumped! The Extreme 18X Soap Nut Liquid Concentrate is just amazing! It takes almost no space in my laundry area and is so simple to use. Our clothes come out smelling so fresh, every time. Even my husband's super dirty clothes from work and Lydia's smelly diapers! The soap nuts used are also certified organic. I have been so pleased with it! I think I'm officially changing my laundry routine again!

Cindy also included a small bottle of Extreme Hair Soap Nut Shampoo. I use the no 'poo method of hair care, but I've always struggled to find something good for my daughters' hair. I really love this soap nut shampoo for them. My oldest daughter has very thick hair which means it's almost constantly a tangled mess and brushing it is a nightmare. The soap nut shampoo really helped to tame the tangles and not only on the day of washing, but for the next few days too! And although her hair is so thick, I didn't need to use much for her at all, making the 2 oz bottle last for quite a while!

Last but not least - Ruth, our Guinea Pig Girl Doll, is just darling! She's well made and has the sweetest little features, including her heart lips. I was fearful of a fight between the girls, but they both love her so much, they're gentle in their sharing. Although I think my oldest has pretty much pulled rank on her. I love to hear her pretending with Ruth!
